The tutorial system aims to improve the all-round development of the student teachers and teacher educands and provide ample opportunities for establishing personal rapport between the teacher and the taught. A group of 5 to 15 students will be assigned to teaching staff who will be a tutor in charge of the group. Each group tutor monitors the progress of the students under their charge and plays a very significant role in moulding good character and conduct in them. Students can freely discuss all matters related to their study and personal problems with the tutor during the tutorial session held regularly.
The college follows two year B. ED. Curriculum with credit and semester system and grading developed by university of Kerala since the college has been affiliated with the University of Kerala. The vision statement of the curriculum reads” Empowerment of prospective teachers with value embedded and competency-based teacher education curriculum, to equip them to be professionally competent, adaptable and socially committed, to meet the challenges in a knowledge society”.
